Project Manager - Transformers (Employed)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join a well developed team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in High Voltage Transformer Installation projects.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and a solid understanding of systems and cost control. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in driving project development.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

  • Gather requirements from stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.

  • Supervise project teams, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Implement cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budget constraints.

  • Conduct regular project meetings to communicate updates, address challenges, and celebrate milestones.

  • Prepare detailed project documentation, including reports on progress, risks, and outcomes.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in product management

  • Proven experience managing UK Transformer projects within HV Substations

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Experience in requirements gathering and translating them into actionable project plans.

  • Demonstrated ability in supervising teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.


This role will require you to be based in Walsall but you must be willing to travel to various sites in the UK a minimum of 2 days per week which may require you to stay in accommodation, so you must have flexibility.

The salary is negotiable for the right experience.
